Before end of IPL 2021 everyone started to chat about IPL 2022 as BCCI announced that next IPL will have 2 extra teams

IPL 2022 AUCTION DATES

• For 8 existing teams to retain players as per rule- 1st November 2021 to 31st November 2021
• The 2 new teams will retain players from- 1st December 2021 to 25th December 2021.
• After retention time over BCCI will arrange auction from date between end of December or end of January 2022.   

IPL 2022 RETENTION RULES

• Teams are not allowed to keep more than two uncapped players.
• Teams can retain three Indian and two Overseas players with retention rules not exceeding four.
• As per condition teams can retain 3 Indian and 1 overseas player or 2 Indian 2 overseas player.
