Fresh Covid Outbreak In China
China reported a fifth straight day of new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in a handful of cities across the country, according to China's National Health Commission a total of 17 new local cases were reported.
What Are The Latest Measure?
In response to the fresh covid spike, local governments have rolled out mass testing and closed scenic spots and tourist sites, and several schools and entertainment venues have also been shut in the affected areas. Authorities in affected provinces have also imposed targeted lockdowns in housing compounds. Around 60% of flights to the two main airports in Xi'an and Lanzhou have been canceled.
